Filipinas for Rights and Empowerment-Gabriela USA in collaboration with Nodutdol for Korean Community Development, Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition, Jornaleros Unidos de Woodside, Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, and Sakhi for South Asian Women invites you to a cultural night of collective action to celebrate the 100th International Workers Women’s Day and to raise awareness about Violence against Women and Children.
Please join us as we celebrate International Women’s Day 2010 with our community partners for a night of collective action to take a stand against violence in our communities particularly against women and children. It is inspired by the nationwide GABRIELA-USA campaign “Voices of Women vs. Violence Against Women” (VOW vs. VAW).
The iVOW campaign is a comprehensive campaign that addresses issues such as sex trafficking and prostitution, domestic violence, rape, incest, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual discrimination and exploitation, limited access to reproductive health care, and violence as a result of political repression
